The Australian Football League reached its finale with the Sydney Swans take on the West Coast Eagles in the Grand Final. It was played in Melbourne's cricket grounds. Aussie football, or footie, originated around 1858. But some say it evolved from an earlier Aboriginal game called Marn Grook. Aboriginal sports commentator Grant Hansen highlights a few of the finer points of this very rough sport
