Thirty-Four Today
One day before we venture north to bismarck, washburn, and stanton.

A day that is, coincidentally, my thirty-fourth birthday.

As I watch the winds sway the trees and thunderheads rise up in the skies, I imagine that my frame of mind is much more optimistic and much less depressive than captain lewis's on his birthday during the first year out.

I am, however, restless to be moving again, anxious to be traveling -- this time towards home.

But not necessarily to resume the patterns and minutiae that I left off...
