Group of People: (Singing) We wish you a merry Christmas. We wish you a merry Christmas. We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
ALEX CHADWICK, host: That holiday wish comes from a group of young boys in South Africa. These boys and thousands of other children have lost their parents to AIDS. Producer Jake Warga spent Christmas at their orphanage a year ago in a Munguay(ph) village. Eighteen hundred children were brought to the village by the United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF, to dance and play and see Santa come in by helicopter to hand out presents. Jake saw all that, and he brought this back. DAVELLA NGAMA(ph): My name is Davella. My surname is Ngama. I want to sing. (Singing) We wish you the merry Christmas. We wish you the merry Christmas. We wish you the merry Christmas and happy new year. (Soundbite of Davella blowing kisses) CHADWICK: A radio Christmas card and kisses, produced by Jake Warga and brought to us by the radio consortium Hearing Voices. This is DAY TO DAY. I'm Alex Chadwick.
