We have the people to create a podcasting mecca: an NPR big-wig, an audio-edu rockstar, and an out-there freelancer.

Most sizable journalism outlets now have a podcast. UM Journalism could be the first university to feature podcasting academically. With the Dean’s, Jule’s, and my contacts, we could bring in the best guest lecturers. We could have students test tools and produce how-to guides, similar to the UC-Berkeley student-made Mobile Reporting Field Guide.
